Background:

I will be riding my road bike from Windsor to San Francisco on September 16th (edited, originally planned for the 23rd) to raise money for the Lung Transplant Foundation! My younger brother, Paul, is a lung transplant recipient and organizations like the Lung Transplant Foundation help make life easier for people going through the transplant process. If you would like to support lung transplant patients like my brother, please consider donating!

Ride:

I will be riding from our family home in Windsor (where Paul and I grew up) to the UCSF Parnassus campus. In total, the ride is about 69 miles (equivalent to 111 kilometers) and I plan on completing it in one day. For the past three weekends, I have been riding each leg of the journey to ensure that I can complete the route, given my questionable conditioning and slightly-too-small 57cm Bianchi road bike. Although I am not setting a strict time limit for the ride, I hope to finish within 8 hours (pretty slow by cyclist standards) including all breaks.

Charity:

I will be donating all proceeds of this GoFundMe to the Lung Transplant Foundation 501(c)(3). Information given by the Lung Transplant Foundation:
