Windows for Christmas

Hi, my name is Bill and I'm trying to help my niece pay for 3 windows that were smashed Sunday evening by a man with a 2 x 4 while her children lay sleeping in their beds. The kitchen window was smashed, filling her tree and kitchen with glass. Her bedroom window was also smashed, sending glass all through her room, bed and dogs bed. But most concerning was the twin babies bedroom window that was smashed right above the twin girls bed, sending glass covering her bed, blankets, stuffed animals, carpet and even reaching the twin boys bed where he lay sleeping. Yes, there was a baby that woke up surrounded in glass. Fortunately the girl twin (whose bed was destroyed with glass) had taken a long nap that day and was NOT in her bed.

911 was called and HBPD responded immediately. The police said this is felony vandalism and possibly more. The guy who did this was caught on multiple neighbors cameras and also the camera at my nieces residence. We are hoping he is caught soon and our family can calm down a little, but this whole situation has been very hard on her and our family! Not only do they feel afraid, violated, cold (with no windows), but also still very vulnerable with no windows while they wait for the glass to be repaired. which brings me to the reason Im trying to help her and the kids pay for the windows, blankets and items they need to replace.

To top all of this off, this family has had a rough year. From a two year sewage leak in her previous home due to landlords negligence... to living in a hotel for 2 months with her children in a pandemic because her home was unsafe... to financially having to cover ALL expenses, paying for forensic Hygiene Experts, replacing EVERY item left behind in sewage house (beds, clothes, toys, kitchen...EVERYTHING IN THEIR HOME had to be replaced)..to spending hours researching her rights and looking for an attorney that could help...to a mother being diagnosed with cancer 2 months ago. And these are just a few of what this family has had to deal with this past year.

I know she has a lot of friends and people that are able to help her at least pay for these windows. She doesn't like to ask for help, but sometimes we need to help each other out and ask... so here it is.

If any of her friends want to help me or add anything. Im not very good at this myself.
