Windex Pete, known to many as the washboard man of the French Quarter, passed away on September 23, 2025 at the age of 74. This fundraiser was created by friends of Pete (real name, Wilbert Pritchett) to help give him the farewell he deserves, a proper burial and a memorial worthy of the joy he gave the French Quarter and city of New Orleans.
