Windell's Road to Beating Cancer
Donation protected

Just to give you some background history, My son Windell is a 17yrs old young man with a heart of gold. He will help anyone he can. He is a junior at Central High School. He loves being with family & friends as much as possible. Growing up he had a passion and dream of playing Pro basketball until one day back in 2018 that dreadful day came when his leg gave out on him during 4th period coming down the stairs. We went to the doctor they did all the tests/biopsy's and then the doctor called us the following week with news that Windell had three tumors in his left leg. The tumor is very rare it is called Angiomatoid Fibrous Historytoma. At the time the doctors said the tumors could be extracted and he would not have to do Chemotherapy or Radiation. That July 30th, he received surgery to have all (3) tumors removed he received a cut from his groin down to his knee with a total of 48 staples, He had to go through intense therapy to regain strength back in his leg. With hard work and faith Windell was on the road to recovery until October 2020 when he felt a mass back in his left leg. We took all the necessary measures and here he is now with not only (1) tumor but a total of (4) tumors in which has spread from the original spots. Nothing can every prepare a person to hear those six letters CANCER. He is now having to do In-patient Chemotherapy every 3 weeks with also taking a Chemo pill daily. If you are not familiar with Chemotherapy it is a treatment that uses drugs to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells or stopping them from dividing. Windell is receiving his treatment by infusion through a port that was inserted into his chest. The bad thing about Chemo is it kills the good and bad cells so Windell road is going to rough but with God & the love and support of family & friends Windell will beat this disease. Unfortunately, Windell's hospital care and the different medicines he has to take to prevent damage to his major organs and the actual Chemotherapy is very expensive. If you can find it in your heart to donate to assist with Windell's road to beating cancer please do so because every dollar counts. Peace & Blessings to all.
