I would like to tell you about our BIG and LOVED friend. His name is Alex. He is big in every aspect: height, heart, and the biggest wish to live!
Alex has a lovely wife and daughter, and he wants to live with them for as long as possible! However, Alex has developed stage 4 pancreatic cancer. And unfortunately, the cancer takes all of the power that he wants to share with others!
Alex and his family are Jehovah’s Witnesses. They used to live in Russia and were busy with peaceful missionary work. Alex and his family were happy until the Russian government decided to harass them as extremists (Russia unjustly banned Jehovah’s Witnesses and their right to read the Bible). Many Jehovah’s Witnesses are unlawfully searched, arrested, and jailed only because of their religious beliefs! These religious persecutions forced Alex and his family to move to the United States. Like many other immigrants, Alex’s family fights for happiness every day.
Alex and his family have lived in the United States for 5 years. They have worked hard, paid all taxes, and continued to show kindness to all people that they encountered. They also continue to have a strong faith in God and help others understand the Bible better. Even though 5 years have passed since Alex’s family moved to the United States, there is still no decision on their immigration case. They are still waiting for an interview with the immigration officers. However, they do not regret waiting for 5 years and do not lose hope on their dreams. They are still as real and bright as at the first day of arrival in the US!
Unexpectedly, in 2019, Alex developed a fever that lasted for a few months. When Alex got all of his lab results back– he was shocked – he was diagnosed with CANCER! Alex promptly had a surgery and chemotherapy, but there was no success. The tumor continued to develop with a more aggressive rate. Alex now has stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Stage 4 cancer patients have an uncertain future and no one knows what can happen to Alex tomorrow. However, Alex does not lose hope. When he wakes up every day, he thinks of God for the greatest gift we have – our life! He believes in the promise that supports him and millions of people written in Revelation 21:3, 4: “With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
Alex’s diagnosis affects him and his family emotionally, physically, and financially. His medical insurance does not cover his cancer treatments, and COVID-19 impacted all of the future scheduled medical procedures and plans. As his last hope, Alex wants to try alternative cancer treatment at the Hoxsey Clinic in Mexico. These treatments attempt to restore a holistic physiological balance. Instead of performing surgery or irradiating the body, the doctors at the Hoxsey Clinic work to improve the patient's sense of well-being through diet plans, vitamins, and homeopathic remedies. The Hoxsey Clinic does not reject modern medicine. However, they are implemented in conjunction with a holistic approach, allowing for a more comprehensive treatment regimen. The alternative methods can strengthen a patient's immune system, making it easier for the body to heal itself. This helps the body fight the disease and recover from potential side effects.
Alex’s family will be glad and appreciative for your help! All funds will go toward alternative methods of cancer treatments as the last chance for Alex’s treatment and support for his family! Thank you everyone for your donations!
