WiMo's Raw Dairy Move!

Donation protected
WiMo farms (pronounced we mo - long o as in yo) was born out a need to find more natural sources of food for our own family due to our daughter being born with a neurological condition that affected her development - in gross motor, growth and in speech. Through extensive research, Will identified raw milk as something that might help.  Well, in looking for a local source, we could find none at the time. So, in true Will-fashion, we got cows, CRAZY cows, cows that gave black eyes and deep bone bruises, but hey, we got raw milk!  Prior to having raw milk, Mo was completely unable to have any dairy in her diet at all while nursing baby Margaret. But the wee little one was finally able to digest breast milk with Mo consuming raw dairy!  It was awesome to be able to have milk again.  Well, to shorten the story, our tiny venture turned into a full-fledged micro-dairy with milking 8 registered Jersey (read NICE, not mean black-eye-givin') cows.  And, we now provide milk to more than 100 families along the front range of Colorado.

In our 4-year journey, we've run into some problems on our current property which is why we're seeking financial help.  We simply cannot keep providing raw milk for families on our current small acreage.

We've located a property just a few minutes south and west of our current property where the seller is willing to offer owner-financing. However, there is no infrastructure for farming anywhere on the property, none.  And, guess what? Infrastructure costs a lot of money - money that we don't have at this time.

We have an immediate need to get a milk room set up and safe fencing for the girls. And also to build a weather-proof milk parlor so we can continue to provide raw milk to our more than 100 families.

Not one cent of any monies donated will be used for anything other than to get the new farm up and running. Any monies received over our goal will also be used towards the purchase of and farm improvements on the property - every single cent.

Your support, from current friends, new friends and friends-not-yet-known means the world to us.

In case you're out looking on the web and you find a weird little website for WiMo Farms - yep, that's us, but we've intentionally been unable to update it because of our current challenges with the county.  Trust me, it is TOP on the list of things to update once we get to the new property and can be considered a "legal" farm by our county's standards.

Lastly, we got into our small raw dairy as a means for healthier food for our own family, but have continued because of the people we've been blessed to meet as a result of our farm and dairy.  Many of the folks who've been brought into our lives via the WiMo avenue have become more than friends - they are family.

Thank you in advance for your generous support!!
