Hi everyone,
My name is Danielle, and I’m reaching out to ask for help on behalf of my sweet 3-year-old mini Aussie doodle, Wilson.
Recently, Wilson developed a cataract in his right eye that has unfortunately progressed to the point where he can now only see out of one eye and has lost all vision in the right. After seeing an ophthalmologist, it turns out he also has a small one in his left eye that will ultimately result in total blindness.
Despite everything, he’s still the happy, curious, tail-wagging pup he’s always been. But I can tell he’s more cautious, bumping into things he used to navigate easily, and it’s been hard watching such a young and vibrant dog adjust to partial vision.
The recommended cataract surgery is estimated at $7,000, which includes pre-op testing, the procedure itself, and post-operative care. As a 25-year-old trying to juggle student loans, rent, and everyday expenses, this is more than I can handle on my own — and that’s why I’m here.
If you know Wilson, you know how special he is. He’s my best friend, my sidekick, my emotional support. I’m doing everything I can to give him the healthy, full life he deserves.
Any amount, no matter how small, would mean the world — and even just sharing this link helps us more than you know.
Thank you for reading and for caring about Wilson.
With gratitude,
Danielle & Wilson
