Our beautiful 2 year old cocker spaniel is facing life changing hip surgery, and we’re desperately trying to give him the happy, active life every young dog should have.

Over the last 12 months, Wilson’s behaviour became aggressive, reactive and he was also super anxious 24/7. After spending thousands on behaviourist, vet visits, X-rays and specialist appointments, we received the heartbreaking news: he needs major hip surgery to stop the deterioration and give him a chance at a pain-free future.

We have insurance, but it only covers half of the total cost, leaving us with a bill far beyond what we can manage alone. We’ve looked at every option and planned to put in everything we possibly can but we’re still short of what he needs.

This surgery isn’t optional. Without it, his mobility will continue to decline, his behaviour will take over and we’ll end up facing the worst decision when it comes to having a dog. With it, he gets the chance to enjoy the long, happy life he deserves.

Our boy is still just a baby. He has so many years ahead of him, and we want those years to be full of comfort, adventure and joy… not pain.
