Last week, the West Kelowna fires destroyed many homes. The Wilson’s Landing and Trader’s Cove area were particularly impacted.

The brave men and women of the Wilson’s Landing Volunteer Fire Department did their best to protect the community. Unfortunately 13 of the 24 firefighters lost their own homes while protecting those of others.

Paul Zydowicz is the fire chief and family for us. He is my wife Sabina’s first cousin. He is also one of the firefighters who lost their homes. For the past week, we have been asking how we can help. He asked us to organize this fundraiser for his team.

With their consent, here is a list of the firefighters who lost their homes and will benefit equally from this fundraising campaign:
