Hi, I’m Morgan, founder of WilsonHaus Coffee and WilsonHaus Rescue.

A year and a half ago, I started a dream: a philanthropic coffee business that not only served delicious, high-quality (fair trade and organic) coffee but also fueled life-saving animal rescue work.

From the start, WilsonHaus Coffee had a simple mission:

☕ Every bag sold helps fund our animal rescue, WilsonHaus Rescue, which focuses on saving dogs from euthanasia lists and assisting our collaborative partners to pull horses out of the slaughter pipeline.

$1 from every bag is ALSO set aside specifically for spay and neuter clinics in parts of America where stray and street dog populations overwhelm shelters. These clinics are run in partnership with “boots-on-the-ground” rescues who host pop-up events to humanely reduce overpopulation and suffering.

It was working. It was growing. It was changing lives.

Why We Paused — And Why We’re Ready to Begin Again

Last year, just as we moved into the building for our rescue, my life was turned upside down.

The very day we opened WilsonHaus Rescue’s doors, a personal trauma upended my stability.

I was suddenly navigating a major life change, a move, and the challenge of running a brick and mortar dog rescue.

The funds I had saved to grow WilsonHaus Coffee went toward keeping our rescue afloat and keeping myself going.

I poured all of myself into the rescue. I didn’t think about my own stability. Now, I am choosing to focus on THIS and how to rebuild not only my dream of having this successful business but also give back in bold and beautiful ways.

I didn’t want to take on interest-bearing bank loans. I believe in the power of community funding — where people come together to make something beautiful possible without the strings of debt attached.
