Wilson Family Expenses

On Easter Sunday, April 17th, our parents (Stew & Denise) and sister (Alison) were involved in a tragic car accident on Steubenville Pike, Burgettstown PA. Unfortunately, my Mother, Denise Pierce-Wilson passed away from her injuries. My Dad, Stew Wilson and Sister Alison were life-flighted to Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. They both suffered injuries to their back, neck and other areas.

Stew is still in the ICU due to the severity of his injuries in his back. He has a chest tube inserted to relieve any fluid. They finally have his pain managed the best they can. Back surgery is still not off the table for the future, but right now they are just looking for rest and recovery. His release from the hospital has not yet been discussed.

Alison spent two days in the ICU and then was moved onto another floor to wait for her shoulder surgery. Unfortunately, they could not perform her surgery due to the risk of causing permanent damage to her current injuries. Alison was released to come home April 21st with a long road of recovery. She will have to return 6 weeks later to have outpatient surgery.

Alison and Stew both get to recover at home but need in-home health care nurses.

This accident will forever have changed us, its devastating. Losing our mother who was the glue to our family, is the most heartbreaking thing we could ever go through. My Dad and Sister both are going to be out of work for some time. We are not the family that would normally be asking anyone for help but sometimes you don't have a choice. Any help is appreciated.
