Wil’s Road to Independence—One Van Away
Donation protected
MY FRIEND WIL...
My name is Terrie Morrow and I’ve had the privilege of knowing Wil his entire life. Though I’m not his biological aunt, I have loved him as family since the day he was born. Wil has always been strong, hardworking, and full of life. As a professional tree worker, he spent his days high above the ground, doing what he loved.
THE INSTANT EVERYTHING CHANGED...
Three years ago, a branch gave way, and Wil fell. He survived the accident—but it left him paralyzed from the waist down. Since that day, he has faced unimaginable challenges: surgeries, relentless pain, and even an opioid addiction that he overcame with incredible determination. The most difficult of all has been the intense emotional journey of recovery from the loss of the life he had imagined for himself. With a deep faith that carried him forward, he is now ready to reclaim his independence and reenter the world of work and life.
ONE MAJOR OBSTACLE...
Wil has fought hard to regain his independence. He’s passed his driver’s test and is working closely with a specialist to determine the exact modifications needed to drive again.
THE BEST NEWS...
Insurance will cover the cost of these adaptive modifications.
THE CHALLENGE...
Wil needs a wheelchair-accessible van—one that’s large enough to transport his track wheelchair and accommodate the necessary adaptations.
THE REALITY...
A van that meets these needs costs around $60,000, and insurance won’t cover it.
THE NEXT STEP...
This isn’t just a vehicle. This is Wil’s path back to freedom. With your help, we can get him back on the road.
YOUR HELP MATTERS...
Wil lives alone with his two dogs. His family and lifelong friends are spread out. He depends on volunteers, church members, and medical transport just to get to various appointments and to church. Wil doesn’t want to sit on the sidelines of his own life. He is ready to drive, to work, to contribute, and live fully—but he needs our help. Your donation, no matter the amount, will help Wil. Every dollar brings him closer to getting back on the road to a full and independent life.
Total Van Cost: $60,000...
Funds from GoFundMe: 100% of donations will go toward the purchase. No amount is too small! $25, $50, $100, $500...
