The Willy Trip is an annual geological field trip that has been run by students for 35 years, and this year we will be doing a tour of southern Peru. This trip provides an opportunity for Geology undergraduate students to see geological features that cannot be seen in Canada, e.g., active volcanoes, coral reefs and deserts. It represents a unique learning experience for students who are eager to see how the concepts introduced in the classroom apply in the real world. Unfortunatly, the Earth & Planetary Science (Geology) department of McGill University cannot cover the costs of this trip, requiring the students themselves to cover expenses for all aspects, including but not limited to; car rentals, fuel, lodging, food, air travel etc. In the coming weeks, we will provide a full itinerary for the trip, which will run from February 20-March 7.
