This Go Fund Me page is for my youngest child Sofia.  She has dyslexia fairly profoundly. She is so smart and wants to learn as much as she can but needs help. She is compassionate, loving and is a natural leader. She has an incredible amount of determination and lots of potential to be so successful.

There is good help available, but it is very expensive.  Sofia has been attending the May School for Leaning several years now.  The school has been very generous with financial aide, but we have all but exhausted our own finances making up the difference.  We are having a difficult time keeping up with the loans that we’ve had to take out.  There really is no where else for her to go to get what she needs. Our public schools are struggling.  The NM Board of Education just pulled $100 million out of the Special Education budget.  For dyslexic kids who go on to college there are many scholarships to help with the support that they need, but there is little to no help of that type for K-12.

The amount we’re seeking doesn’t cover the full tuition.  Only the portion that we are unable cover.  Any gift is appreciated.
