WILLSENGER MEMORIAL GATE AT LANGLEY RIDERS ARENA
Valley West Stampede Society is Fund Raising to build a "Will Senger Memorial gate" at the Langley Riders Arena.
Will Senger was a legendary Langley cowboy that was a co founder of the Langley Riders Society back in 1965 and continued to support and attend Little Britches Rodeos and other events held at Langley Riders for the rest of his life.
Will was a Cloverdale Rodeo Pioneer and institution at the Cloverdale Rodeo from the early days as a competitor and later as a long time volunteer holding the position of Rodeo Chairman for many years.
In 1983 will was given a lifetime membershio in the association.
1986 saw Will get voted as the committee man of the year by his peers in the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association, in 1992 Will Recieved the Govener General's medal for his dedication to the sport of Rodeo
In2004 Will was the first British Columbian to be inducted into the Canadian Professional Rodeo Hall of Fame.
Will was a family man, a Longshoreman and a mentor to many in the Canadian Rodeo world and it is only fitting that we honor this great Cowboy with a memorial gate that generations for of future cowboys and cowgirls will enter though as they follow their dreams of becoming the future of this great sport.
