HELLO!
My name is Will Parry (they/he) and I’m a musical theatre artist based in Toronto, Canada.
I have a show called “Will & The Amazingly Obsessive Theatrical Vinyl Collection” coming to the Toronto Fringe Festival in July and… I need your help! For this production, it is a top priority to provide equitable pay for our artists as it isn’t always financially accessible to take on indie theatre projects in our current financial landscape (TLDR: it’s expensive out there y’all). Here’s where this GoFundMe comes in. We’re using this to help support our artists on the project. So the money you donate goes directly toward the future of musical theatre… how cool is that?!
We currently need $2800 (this site takes about $150 in fees hence the $2950 goal) to fill out the remainder of our artist compensation (Generous Artist Fee + Profit Share). That’s approximately $450 per artist. This includes compensation coverage, CAEA (Festival Policy) fees, material rentals, contingency funds for any potential emergencies that happen on the job, and more! We’ve been able to raise over 80% of these funds through our own avenues including philanthropy, personal connects, a singular grant but now we need YOU!
