I want to introduce everyone to my friend Will. He is one of our campers at Camp Fatima of New Jersey... Will and I would like to announce that on Sunday, April 30, 2017, we will be participating in the NJ Marathon as Willpower!
On May 1, 2011, Anton and I successfully completed the NJ Marathon as Team Anton-y!! Together, with the incredible support of friends, family and our community - we raised over $32,000 to benefit the children of Camp Fatima!! We surpassed our goal of $1000 per mile / $26,000!! This was a new and exciting part of our lives. I want to take this moment to thank my good friend, Anton and the entire Frazile Family for welcoming me into their family and taking that memorable journey with me.
This time, I would like to give another child the opportunity to experience something they may not be able to do, to complete a marathon. We often take things for granted. I assure you that beautiful children like Will and Anton embrace life and all the gifts that it has to offer. For the next 6-7 months, Will and I will be raising funds through a variety of events as Willpower! The proceeds will all go to benefit Camp Fatima of New Jersey. We invite you to make a donation and follow us on this amazing adventure and other fundraising events.
What is Camp Fatima of New Jersey?
Camp Fatima is a not-for-profit, non-sectarian organization designed for children and adults with developmental disabilities. The program is free to campers. They offer two one-week sessions to school-aged children and four weekend sessions to adults ages 21 and above. Camp Fatima is funded by private donations and fundraising activities. They do not receive any government funding and no participant is ever charged a fee to attend. Camp Fatima is staffed by all volunteers, no one is paid to work at our programs.
Camp Fatima believes everyone has the right to experience play in his or her lives. They exist to provide free, quality, recreational programs for children and adults with disabilities.
