Willows rehab from kissing spine

Donation protected
In late September, Willow had an Xray done on her back and the results showed she has kissing spine.
Kissing spine is when the gap between vertebrae close and in severe cases, they can fuse together.
Thankfully Willow hasn't had any fusing, but the gaps between her vertebrae have just started closing.
This is one of her X-rays which shows two healthy vertebrae spacings on the right and two that are too close (kissing spine) on the left.
The good news is that there is something I can do about it - rehab and no riding until she the gaps have gone back to a healthy distance.
This includes getting body workers to help Willow, booking in with trainers to help us both know how to train her to use her body correctly by lifting her back and engaging her core, getting more xrays in the future and consulting other experts in the field of rehabbing horses with kissing spine. In the future, we will also need to have a great saddle fitter who can know Willows body and make sure we never have an ill fitting saddle again.
It will be a long journey but Willow has helped me in a time of need and I will do anything to help her so we can get back to what we love - galloping down the beach and in the bush!
Every little bit of donation helps and will go straight towards Willows rehab ❤️
