Willow’s Blood Transfusion

We are in urgent need of financial support to save our sweet Willow. She needs blood transfusion ASAP or we will almost certainly lose her. This happened so suddenly we are just devastated we could lose her. She is a member of our family. Any amount will be deeply appreciated.
As soon as we raise these funds we are taking her to Geisert Animal Hospital in Stockton, CA. We have diligently researched our options and found the most affordable one. We've learned we can save money by having our other dog as a blood donor. Our dog Shelby will be able to help.
Willow is our sweet 7 year old Husky/Shepherd mix. She loves kids, foster doggies, playing at the beach, hiking and running. Last Monday, July 23rd she was running around full of life wrestling with her best friends, Ozzy and Shelby. Less than 24 hours later she was in critical condition fighting for her life.
We took her to our vet right away because she was lethargic and peeing thick streams of blood. Our vet ran some blood work which showed she had an alarmingly low red blood cell count. Her Bilirubin was very high. He told us she may have been bitten by a mosquito giving her a parasite. This caused her red blood cells to drop. It could also be an autoimmune issue, but her condition was so critical the vet didn't want to wait for confirmation if it was a parasite. We needed to immediately start her on meds and shots.
They gave her a shot of Dexamethasone and Baytril. We were sent home with Prednisone and Doxycycline tablets which she is still taking. This has cost us $400 which we could barely afford at this time. It will be 48 hours at 7pm tonight. Today has been worse for her. She hasn’t eaten in 3 days and we’ve only been able to give her Nutrical which I rub on her gums just to get some calories in her.
She can’t walk anymore and has peed herself today. She just lays there and the life force seems to be fading from her eyes. I called our vet and they told us we need to get her blood transfusion ASAP because she is only getting worse. The hospital who can do blood transfusions needs full payment up front before doing anything.
It is such a large amount of money to come up with on such a short notice and we must balance it against the needs of the rest of the family. After two hard days of talking, crying and thinking it through we decided to try one last resort of reaching out through Go Fund Me in the hopes we can save her life.
