Save a Dog, Save a Life - Willow
I have known Dominic Michael since I was six years old, when he met my sister Sharon. Michael lost both of his parents, when he was eight. He always longed for the family he never had growing up.
Sharon and Michael were married for 26 years, with two children, when she succumbed to breast cancer in 2006. Of course it was heartbreaking for me, but I felt even more pain for Michael losing his wife and life partner. He really struggled in the months and years that followed. He felt very alone in the world, even though he has so many friends and loved ones that care for him dearly.
The answer soon came in a little golden bundle of fur and love. He said, “I will cherish this critter for years to come". Willow, his golden retriever, has been his companion for almost five years now. They go everywhere together (even stores that dogs shouldn't be in). She cries when Michael is out of her sight.
I was stunned and heartbroken when I heard that Willow has cancer. It is treatable with surgery, but unfortunately, the cost is beyond his means. I am filled with sorrow to think that he may, again, lose his partner to cancer.
Please consider donating $20, $50 or $100 to help save his pup. The funds will pay for the surgery and the follow up visits after. Michael is truly a wonderful sweet person that does not deserve the tragedies that have come his way.
I truly appreciate any help you can provide.
Love to all!!
Pam
