Willow Needs Surgery

Our dear friend and roommate Tyler's dog, Willow, tore her Cranial Cruciate Ligament (CCL) in her rear leg, which is the equivalent of a human's ACL. We have tried to help Willow rest and recover for the last two months, but it has only gotten worse. She needs to have a surgery called a TPLO that has been estimated to cost ~$4,400.

Willow is a four-year old Australian kelpie/cattle dog mix; she is super sweet, active, and an amazing part of our family and community.  Foregoing the surgery would cause her lifelong pain and loss of function, and lead to severe arthritis in both her rear legs. It's very sad for such a young and energetic dog! We're trying to raise the money over the next week so that Willow's surgery can get scheduled as soon as possible. She's on bedrest until then.

You may not all know Tyler, but he is the most genuine, giving, wonderful human you'll ever meet. Last week, Tyler not only found out that Willow needed this surgery, but also found out that his mother has a terminal cancer. It's been a challenging week to put it lightly, during an already challenging time.

This is a super hard time for so many people, so if you don't have any spare funds to give, please do not feel pressure. If you do have anything to spare, every little bit helps. 

Tyler doesn't know his community is raising these funds for him, so please do not share this directly with him. Let's rally around one of the best humans we know who would be the first to show up for any of us!
