Hi everyone,

This is Willow, our sweet girl who was recently diagnosed with Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD). After suddenly losing the ability to use her back legs, we brought her through multiple vet visits and imaging, and the specialist explained that surgery would give her the best chance at walking again.

Right now, Willow has only a 10% chance of being able to walk again, without surgery. With the procedure, however, the outcome is much more hopeful — only 5–10% of dogs remain paralyzed afterwards, which gives us real reason to believe she could walk again.

The surgery costs will start at $8,000 and on top of that she will also need 5-10 physio therapy sessions.

We don’t expect anything, but if anyone is able to help — even just by sharing Willow’s story — it would mean so much to us. She is the most loving, gentle dog. She’s only 2 years old with so much life ahead of her, and our greatest wish is to see her running around the yard with her brother again, doing what she loves most.
