Emily and her 2 young children were involved in a very serious collision with an 18 wheeler last Friday night.

Case was airlifted from Tyler hospital ER to Children’s Hospital in Dallas. His compound fracture was too complicated for them to operate on. His 2 hour surgery turned into a 4 hour surgery because they originally thought it was a clean break, but each broken end was shattered like glass shards and they had a hard time putting his femur back together Unfortunately his right leg will never be the same. Ironically it was his seatbelt that broke his leg, but as the Dr said, if it hadn’t, the alternative was that he would have blasted through the windshield like a rocket ship and not survived.
Emily is going to be ok but not right now. She’s pretty banged up all over and her hands look like they went through a meat grinder. All the skin came off her palms and her tendons and nerves exposed. She’s going to have to have surgery in future and skin grafts
May is ok, just bruised and a concussion.
Emily is a nurse, working in Tyler. She is a hard working, dedicated mom. She is 3 weeks shy of being eligible for disability.
