Willie’s Fight Against Meningitis Needs You

Please help save Willie. Willie has Meningitis and is currently hospitalized for brain swelling. He was making progress after his first hospitalization but suddenly declined he needs a MRI and spinal tap for a proper diagnosis so he can be properly treated. The bill is exceeding $10,000 this time. His previous hospitalization and neurology appointment consultation and check ups have totaled $5,000. I was able to cover that cost but now I am asking for your help with our costs now that its getting up to $15,000. Thank you

Update: Willie got the MRI and they believe they found the underlying cause. Spinal epidural empyema witch is very rare with meningitis as the secondary, our costs are rising for his care he needs to stay hospitalized for a few more days, I just got another estimate for that at another $4,000

Update 2: We visited Willie (picture update included) today, we plan to have him have the surgery tomorrow to remove the abcess from his spine. The abcess is blocking off half his spinal cord. This surgery will cost $8,000 Thank you all for your donations!

Update 3: Nurologist wants to hold off on surgery and see if they can treat him conservatively he has made just a little progress nurologicaly hopefully this is good news, he is still in a lot of pain.

Update 4: Willie is slowly getting better! We visited him last night and he ate a little and is gaining is strength back. We hope to bring him home by the end of this week!
