Willie O. Brown Sr. Memorial Fund

Our dad, Willie Brown Sr., was called home to be with Jesus and his beloved wife Betty on Sunday, March 17, 2024. He was 89 years old. Willie was born in Whiteville Louisiana, on June 14th, 1934 to Perkins and Annie Green Brown. He married the love of his life, Betty Jean Sterling, on September 28, 1956. Willie and Betty moved to Des Moines, Iowa, in the early 1960’s. Willie founded and operated along side his brother, Brown Brother’s Fencing, which served all of Iowa and extended throughout the Midwest. Willie Brown will be laid to rest in Glendale Cemetery, 4909 University Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa on April 5, 2024. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up in his honor to help with burial costs and funeral expenses.
