Willie Mims

Hi everyone,

My name is Sidney Flores and I am running this fundraiser on behalf of my 4 older siblings ( Stacee, Ariel, Toree, and Willie Jr.) This past Friday night (28 July), during his band's performance their father passed away unexpectedly while doing what he loved most which was playing his drums. He was a beloved father to 4 kids and grandfather to 7 grandchildren (Taleena, Israel, Taylee, Izaak, Zyomee, Izayah, and Aubriella.)

Willie Mims was the life of the party wherever he went. He was always there when you needed him and continuously put others first before himself. He had a heart of gold and cared for many people. His vibrant personality was infectious. Whenever you were around him you knew you were in for a good time and many laughs. He was never afraid to be a goofball if it brought joy to the people around him. He was an aspiring artist who showcased his talents through his love for music, art, cooking, and barbecuing. He was a die-hard sports fan representing the Washington Redskins, Los Angeles Lakers, and Los Angeles Angels.

Willie Mims was a family man who was very much about keeping his family's memories and traditions alive. He loved to tell stories, timestamp experiences by video recordings and photographs, cook old family recipes, and have annual family gatherings. He was an individual who was very much about being present and living in the moment. Willie was happiest when surrounded by his loving kids, their amazing partners, and all of his beautiful grandchildren.
