Willie Brim's health is keeping him at home!

Donation protected

2020 is the Queensland Year of Indigenous Tourism...

... and Willie Brim's health is keeping him at home!

........................................................................

We're investing in an electric offroad scooter (extra battery set and solar battery kit) for Willie to restart cultural work at Davies Creek.  See scooter performance and review videos below.

The Davies Creek and Dinden National Park includes Bare Hill Conservation Park - plentiful campsites, circuit walking trails, scenic waterfalls, exquisite swimming spots, stunning landscape features, 60km mountain bike trails - all fantastic Free Independent Traveler (FIT) nature tourism infrastructure in our region: a nature playground for adults and families to experience Wet Tropics landscapes.

The knock on effects for attracting FITs include more overnight stays for day and multiple day walkers (Kuranda Region has over 20 Airbnb Properties), more spend at our local retail outlets and new 'experience' tourism opportunities for local Indigenous and non-Indigenous people.

Willie is keen to continue his work showcasing three Aboriginal Rock Art Galleries for visitors from all around the world. Davies Creek Aboriginal Rock Art Galleries are the most accessible to an International airport in Australia!

........................................................................

The electric bike kit will enable Willie to access the trails and sites (without the puff :-) as he has early-Emphysema and will do better with outdoor activity - but without the stress!
