Willie Lee Beavers has always been a fighter. He went from weight lifting to fighting cancer and won his battles and the hearts of those who surrounded him. In the last year, he fought the hardest and jumped over hurdles that nobody thought he could clear. Stanford called him "the unicorn" because he kept surmounting all the odds. He was so proud of that title.
Willie was a beautiful man who would do anything to serve others. He was a true giant, and we are grateful for his life. We are so proud of him for fighting until the end and winning his final battle here on Earth.
At age 33, Willie was diagnosed with leukemia and began his 13-year battle. At that time, he didn't have life insurance and was unable to attain it because of cancer. For this reason, we are asking for any support you can give to Missy and Beau at this time.
Missy would like to thank everyone for their sustaining prayers, faith, and miracles, and is grateful for the love from family and friends. Funds will help to cover burial costs and help Missy and Beau navigate the next chapter of their lives.
This is organized by Missy's sister, Emily. Please contact her or one of Willie's family members if you have any questions.
