To say that the the Claus family has been deeply moved by the overwhelming love and support following William’s DIPG diagnosis, would be an understatement. Thank you, a thousand times over for your continuous care, compassion and generosity of spirit.
On November 25, 2025, Mollie and Bill received earth shattering news. William has since completed 30 radiation treatments to treat his DIPG (an extremely rare, highly aggressive, inoperable brain tumor that develops in the pons region of the brainstem in children). For more information on DIPG, this link offers helpful resources and education on DIPG. As parents they continue to show immeasurable strength and unconditional love, creating as much normalcy, joy, and connection as possible as they navigate the impact of this diagnosis on their family.
Mollie and Bill remain focused on what matters most, time together with their family and loved ones, meaningful moments, and memories, from the ordinary to the extraordinary. They do this while simultaneously doing everything in their power to approach this diagnosis with the hope, care, and relentless determination it requires. Their family and William's cancer care team are tirelessly researching clinical trials that may be available to William. Clinical trials offer hope, in some cases they offer time, and in others, cures. If they are able to get into clinical trials they will travel with William, Hazel and Layton out of state for 6–7 weeks and then monthly for continued treatment in the trial.
This Go-Fund Me is a supportive pathway to clinical trials. It will help cover inevitable unpaid time away from work, travel, lodging, and related expenses, alleviating some of the financial strain that will occur. It is also a supportive pathway to creating cherished moments and memories that have the sole intent of enjoying new experiences as a family - in an intentional, joyful and meaningful way. Your generosity will help cover experiences William and his family might not otherwise have.
This page will also serve as a place to share updates and gratitude. Mollie and Bill are eternally grateful for the messages, donations, prayers, well wishes, energy sent, acts of kindness, acts of love, and acts of generosity that have carried them through this incredibly difficult time. Your support means more than words can express. Thank you for your care and your compassion. Thank you for showing up for the Claus Family in the countless ways you have. It matters and means everything to them.
With love and gratitude,
