Our Sweet William

May 18th, William was 36 + 4, when we were told the news that no parent ever wants to hear, nor should they have to, our beautiful boy was to be born sleeping, on May 20th I was taken in to be induced on the labour ward at Wexham Park Hospital, on May 21st at 15:24pm we welcomed our third precious boy into the world, William Joseph Peter Evans weighing 6lb7oz, all of which was pure perfection.

The three of us then got to stay in the Willow Suite the bereavement suite of the labour ward, designed for parents who like us have to endure the heartbreak of not leaving the hospital with your perfect new arrival. Harry and I were blessed to have four days with our gorgeous boy here, and were overwhelmed by the love and care we received by the staff who looked after us in our time of need.

Those four days allowed us to spend timewith William and create memories with him, having his footprints and handprints done, having photos, having casts made of his perfect hands and feet, part of the reason we could have that time was due to his cuddle cot, a cuddle cot prolongs any deterioration of you baby, cuddle cots cost 1500 and at present there is only one in the unit, unfortunately whilst we were in with William another mummy lost her baby, sadly unlike us who were able to stay with William from birth this lady had to go home and come back once we had left to spend time with her sleeping baby, we would like to contribute towards raising money for another cuddle cot for the Willow suite at Wexham.
