John Mark Williams Recovery Fund

Donation protected
On Tuesday, May 2nd, my family received the awful news that my dad, John Mark Williams, was on his way to the hospital. John Mark had fallen while home alone and broke his neck, partially severing his spinal cord, and suffered large cuts on the back of his head and forehead. After 13 staples in the back of his head, stitches in his forehead, and emergency surgery to stabilize his neck, he remains in the ICU at a hospital in Plano, TX.

His surgeon said that it is a true miracle my father is not completely paralyzed or dead.
After the fall, my dad was able to look for his phone, call 911 (and of course, called my mom!) and rode in an ambulance to the hospital all while suffering from a life-threatening neck injury.

My mom, Jennifer Williams, has been working tirelessly to make my dad comfortable during his stay in ICU while trying to keep the house in order and make plans for the future.
This is perhaps the scariest incident to happen in their 35 years of marriage.

Mom and Dad have been strong this past week, and Dad has been able to stand up and walk with assistance - a true miracle!

We are so thankful to God and the Doctors for keeping him safe and helping him on his long road to recovery. My dad will be wearing a neck brace for at least three months and will need intense physical therapy. The doctor has said that any more accidents, any fall or injury he suffers, could sever the remainder of his spinal cord and paralyze him, or worse. This is just the beginning of his recovery and there are many more difficult days ahead.

This has taken a toll on our family both emotionally and financially. My parents are currently using their PTO, but that is limited. My parent's need help with bills and outfitting their house with safety equipment that my dad will need for the foreseeable future.

If there is anything you are able to donate, we would be forever thankful. My dad is a hardworking man who loves his family dearly. He is a great man and a great father. This has turned our world upside down and my parents need help with the mounting medical bills, rent, and everyday expenses once their PTO has run out.

We are so unbelievably thankful that he survived this ordeal and are looking forward to bringing him home. Please donate, if you can & please hold him in your prayers for a full and speedy recovery.
