William’s Brain Surgeries
Donation protected
My sweet beautiful daughter Aubrielle and her husband Billy have three amazing young kids. Not many people know this but when their oldest son William was born he had a intra ventricular brain hemorrhage which caused him to have a stroke with seizures. William was in the Renown NICU for 3 1/2 half weeks when he was born. He came home and when William was 7 weeks old they traveled to Oakland to the UCSF Hospital and he had an intra ventricular shunt placed to drain his spinal fluid. It’s rare for any infection to occur after the first six months of a shunt placement. Sadly this was not the case for William, somehow William got an infection in his shunt. He went back to Oakland on Monday April 25th and had emergency surgery to have his infection removed. Unfortunately his infection was so severe not only did they cut out the infection they also had to remove his shunt. William had a temporary shunt placed on the outside of his head and will be in the PICU at Oaklands Children’s Hospital for the next few weeks. He has to be on two weeks of IV antibiotics to clear the infection and then will go back in for surgery once his infections are completely gone. In the Oakland PICU there are no visitors or children allowed. So Williams brother Walter and sister Georgia-Marie are home in Reno, which means they can not visit. William, mom, and dad will be missing them. In the mean time, there will be a lot of unexpected expenses for their family. I’m asking, hoping, and praying that we will be able to raise funds to help ease some of their burdens as they go through these very difficult times. The entire family thanks everyone for all the support, phone calls, pouring out of love and prayers they’ve already received. We ask that you please continue to keep them all in your thoughts and prayers. I know Heavenly Father loves all his children and he does hear the pleading of our hearts.
