On January 31, 2019, after a heart-to-heart talk with my wife, I entered an in-patient Alcohol Recovery Center.  It was an intense program, and after 28 days, I came home a better man, son, husband, and father.  I can not tell you how wonderful it is to be sober and free of the fog and fear!

I am staying with  the daily meetings, dealing with my problems, accepting my weaknesses, and relearning what a meaningful life is.  Unfortunately, this help and guidance  come at a high price. 

I do  have insurance, but the coverage is limited. It has helped with 1/2 of the cost  of the 28- day rehab facility; it doesn’t cover anything else.   

The cost of getting my Medical certification back which is required to be a professional pilot is surprisingly high.

I have always paid my way, and worked very hard to become a pilot.  I am out of my comfort zone in making this request as I have rarely asked for help.  The cost of my treatment, medical expenses, and regaining my medical certification  in order to fly again is staggering.  Like most people, I need to get back to work for my family and need help in doing it.
