To my teammates and friends,
I have an unfortunate situation that breaks my heart but need a little help if possible. My sister Dawn Marie lives in Roseboro in a rural area, in a doublewide trailer, with 3 beautiful children. My sister's husband Johnny got cancer and has been unable to work for the past 4 years. Johnny and my sister are prideful people and have a hard time asking for help.. especially financial.
I have helped them out over the past 2 years along with my brother. Their doctor bills have piled up so high and they are on a payment plan. My sister doesn’t want to tell her husband how bad it is.
Please know there is no obligation in anyway. If it doesn’t hurt you financially, and you can spare a little something (even $5 -$10) to help them through this difficult time it would be so greatly appreciated. Every little bit helps! I know some of you are dealing with illness in your immediate family also and I would never want or expect you to help mine. Along with my FB Family, I have also reached out to my good friends I grew up with. We spend more time with each other than anyone in our own families. I love and appreciate all of you that I have built relationships with out here like my own "Road Warrior" Family. There is a respect and bond I feel with each and everyone of you that know me well. Below is the text I received from my baby sister this morning and thought I would share.
"Hi Tony. Hope all is well with you. I am sitting here crying like a baby and I'm swallowing my pride to ask you once again if you can help me in anyway? I don't care if its $5. I've gotten financial aid for his hospital bills but that still leaves me paying them $220 a month that I normally wouldn't be paying or they were going to send the bill to collections so I set it up today and now I have $52 to live on this month. He is still in treatment so his bills will go up. I swore I wasn't going to ask you for any help again this time but I feel a bit desperate today after paying our bills. I'm sorry Tony for asking you. If you can't I will make due. I'm texting because I don't want Johnny to hear me talking about this. He already blames himself for our financial situation so I try not to let him know how bad it is and I don't want to cry anymore today. He has no idea at the moment about the hospital payment amount. He is sleeping. He had a bad reaction to his new chemo and we were at the hospital this week 3 days in a row. I am exhausted in so many ways. Love you."
She has absolutely no idea that I am doing this on their behalf and I really wish I could do it all by myself. She will be so overwhelmed with whatever this Go Fund Me page can generate..as will I. Thank you for your consideration and once again...no obligation!
