William Von Gunten is in the neuro critical care unit after suffering strokes last week. He had Covid that week and told his wife he had a really bad headache and his cheek felt funny. He went to bed that night but by the morning was paralyzed on his left side and slurring his speech. He went in for emergency surgery that morning and was then life flighted to a better hospital. He is now communicating with us mostly through sign language (which is thumbs up or down, knuckles, and I love you), which is already a huge improvement. When he is able to stay awake better, he will be moved to another hospital for therapy. It will be a long road to recovery.

Willam and Lisa were just married in February 2021 and feel that they were both given a second chance at living “happily ever after” together. We are so thankful to have them in our family and want to try to help lift their financial burdens so they can focus on William’s healing. Thank you for helping us!
