William Smyth - Father, Grandfather and Friend

Hello, I am raising money for my stepfather, William (Billy) Smyth. Billy has been a father figure to me for the last 20 years of my life. He has been a partner to my mother Sheila, a father to 2 amazing people, Paul & Taylor, and a grandfather to my 6 children. He has never let anyone in his life go without and would give the shirt off his back to anyone that needed it. He is a hardworking and loving person who has devoted his life to the people around him.

 

Yesterday we received horrible news that Billy needed to have emergency surgery for an aortic aneurism that had for quite some time. His surgery went well, but now we begin a long road to recovery. Billy has been a provider in his and my mother’s household, working 2 jobs, to make sure they have enough to live a comfortable lifestyle. He has been a huge contributor to their finances, but now he faces at least a month, likely more, before he is well enough to return to work. I am trying to raise $5,000.00 so that their bills can continue to be paid and Billy can concentrate on recovery instead of sitting home worried about how to make ends meet.

 

Anything will help them immensely, big or small. If you have ever considered Billy a mentor, friend, companion or even someone that listened to you that one night at Chadwick's when you really needed a friend, please find it in you heart to help contribute.
