This is a new fundraiser for Bill and Jeannie--sorry the first one didn't work!
On November 2, 2020, our beloved friend, the playwright William S. Yellow Robe, Jr., suffered a heart attack and is now in the Intensive Care Unit of Northern Light EMMC in Bangor, Maine. His wishes have been to receive all medical interventions necessary to stay alive, and he is currently breathing with the assistance of a ventilator.
William was teaching creative writing until earlier this semester, but he is unlikely to be able to return to the classroom. This is a very great loss to his students and to all those who value his wisdom and artistry. The photo documents June 12, 2020, when the University of Montana granted him the honorary doctorate, an honor that was very significant to him.
Support is needed immediately, for rent ($1000/month) plus utility bills and food during the winter. William's wife, Jeanne, is now retired, and has been relying on his income for food and shelter.
