As a way to remember Stan, family and friends are donating a memorial bench in Hall Ranch open space park near Lyons, Colorado. Everyone who knew Stan knew he loved going on long (really long!) hikes. Before we lost him, he had often been hiking between Hall Ranch and Button Rock Reservoir, getting in shape for a planned trek in Rocky Mountain National Park. Kathy picked a spot for a bench on the Nighthawk Trail in Hall Ranch. It will be a beautiful place to pause and remember Stan—and then keep on hiking like Stan would have done, always looking for that next turn in that trail, that next incredible vista.
