Help Support William's Family Through an Unimaginable Loss

On Sunday evening, October 25, 2026, our community was devastated by the tragic and unexpected loss of William Poulter, a young man whose life was taken far too soon at just 20 years old.

Twenty years old. An entire lifetime of possibilities still ahead of him. Dreams he was working toward, experiences he had yet to have, and so much life left to live.

Will had a love for the city of Toronto, its buses and trains, hockey, and sports. These were some of the things that made him who he was. He dreamed of one day becoming a sports announcer, turning his passion for sports into a future and career of his own.

It's heartbreaking to think about all the moments he should have had, the goals he should have reached, and the future he deserved the chance to experience. His story should have had so many more chapters. Instead, his family and friends are left trying to process a loss that no one could have prepared for.

No family should ever have to say goodbye to someone they love so suddenly, especially someone so young.

We are starting this fundraiser to bring people together to support William's family during this incredibly difficult time. Donations will go toward funeral and memorial expenses and other immediate needs as they navigate the days and weeks ahead.

Our hope is to ease some of the burdens that come with such an unexpected loss, allowing his family to focus on grieving, remembering Will, and supporting one another through this heartbreaking time.

We cannot take away their pain. We cannot change what happened. But we can remind them that they are not alone.

We can show them that Will mattered, that his life touched others, and that even in the darkest moments, kindness and compassion still exist.
