Hello my name is Brandon, my father was a man of few words, so it is a good thing I get to write this description. William Mackintosh was born on November 13, 1953 to a poor family located in Robling New Jersey. My father was pushed at a young age to drop what he was doing to help provide for his brothers and sisters. Once he had the opportunity to start his own family he kept that same drive to provide the best he could for his family and to ensure his children would not have to go through the same. Once finding the love of his life, she was taken from him in 1994 from cancer and left with 2 children age 10 and the age of 18 months. When a normal man would have failed my father prevailed and worked even harder. So hard he worked his health into the ground. In 2001 he was put into ICU for shortness of breath, he was then diagnosed with asthma, emphysema, and copd, all developed from poor working condition (asbestos). But my father being the fighter he was, was determined to return to work which only lasted 2 month. He returned to hospital AND was  diagnosed with alpha 1 lung disease. The doctors gave him months to live. I was 9 years old when I was told this and unable to process this information or help with the financial situation. Life insurance premiums increased so much that he was unable to afford it which led to him having to cancel the policy. I was too young to work or take over the premium We both fought for a better life that we could create but that fight ended today 7/25/20. So now I ask anyone willing to help to give him the last kind gesture of lessening the financial burden on his family.
