On April 10, 1999, I became the happiest man on Earth and on April 9,2021 I died. Help me and my family help others in William Jacob Easton name.Will Easton was a former Ribault High School (Fla.)point guard on the Wilberforce University basketball team who died in a car accident in town on April 9, just a day before his 22nd birthday.

He was short in stature (undersized), but his tenacity (relentless) and his defensive pressure that was a Ribault hallmark. Easton prided himself on the dirty work. Guarding a team’s top scorer. Drawing charges. Tracking down loose balls.

After high school he went on to Morris College where he competed in Track and Field. The next year he went to Wilberforce University who said in a press release that Easton was very respected on campus.

He held a 3.5 grade point average and was an honor student. The university’s presidential cabinet has elected to award Easton his degree posthumously during the May 29 graduation ceremony.
