William is Bound for Harvard!

Hi, my name is Sarah (or Joonhee as some know me), and I am blessed to be dear friends with William Boles. I am starting this GoFundMe to help this beautiful, compassionate and creative human being begin the next season in his life.

William was recently accepted into Harvard University's Graduate School of Design for Landscape Architecture. He is in the process of completing his prerequisites, finding an apartment and preparing to move to the Cambridge area. Before this, he spent years working diligently as a freelance scenic designer throughout the United States and abroad upon completing his MFA at Northwestern University. Like many theatre artists, the pandemic decimated work opportunities while theatres were shut down. The silver lining (if you can call it that) is that this provided time for artists, including William, to evaluate their future and what they feel called to do moving forward.

It is no secret that William is a gifted artist. He is intentional, visionary and innovative. I know that he is bound for great things, always, and this next chapter in his life is going to be creatively explosive and transformative. I can't wait to see the public parks and community spaces that he'll dream up and the stories he will tell through landscape architecture.

I hope that you'll consider contributing to this GoFundMe to alleviate his initial costs because being a full-time artist means that finances are always a little tight. The funds raised here will be used towards moving costs, rent and general cost of living, and school supplies.
