Sabrina Holiday, my heart-sister of nearly 20 years, is facing one of the hardest chapters of her life. Stricken by the loss of her last living immediate family-member, her older brother Edward, on July 18th, which also left her without gainful employment as she was his full-time paid caregiver, she is now facing possible eviction.
Losing loved ones is difficult enough without having to take on the costs related to making final arrangements. Sabrina would love to be able to send Edward home to rest with their family, however the cost is beyond our reach.
Complicating Sabrina's situation are some recent health challenges requiring tests and potential surgery. As she continues to address her health concerns she is unable to work for new clients. But Sabrina has her eye on the future and hopes to be able to return to work again, soon. She is receiving what help she can from state agencies, selling items, getting food boxes, and cutting costs, but she is genuinely struggling to make ends meet, and it's at risk of losing her home.
I bring groceries/food when I can and help with transportation to appointments.
Please help me help Sabrina through this chapter. She has seen me through some of the hardest times in my own life, raising my baby girl, moving across the city, finishing college, and the loss of my father.
My hope is that I can help her by bringing her situation to light, and recruiting your compassion.
Your donation, no matter how big or small, will help Sabrina:
1. ...to cover the cost of laying Edward to rest
2. ...pay for basic needs such as food and medicines
3. ...prepare to pay for moving costs
Asking for help is hard, that's why I'm asking in her behalf.
Thank you for taking the time to read and please share.
