William Dustin Curtis passed away unexpectedly on the morning of March 21, 2021.
My little brother struggled with addiction most of his short life. With Dustin, we always lived with when we'd get the call. That call came yesterday morning.
He had survived more than a couple of close calls in the past, but God decided it was time for him to come home. No more pain. No more struggle. He's finally Free.
He'd been clean for months, living with Mom and growing stronger every day. We all hoped this would be the time he prioritized his life over his addiction and finally started living. He had a big heart, loved his family, and was a follower of Jesus.
I share his story here because I know my family is not alone in dealing with a loved one that is consumed by addiction. I also hope it may serve as a wake-up call for anyone that may be suffering from it themselves. Please don't let this be your story.
Dustin leaves behind a young son that will never know his Daddy. He also leaves behind a loving family that prayed he would fully recover & live a happy life.
He leaves behind a Mother that always did everything in her power to protect him, provide for him, encourage him, pray over him, and love him with all her heart every day of his life.
Please pray for my family, especially my Mom, during this difficult time. My brother was only 36 years old. We will all miss him, but my heart is comforted knowing that he has finally found Peace.
Dustin did not have life insurance or any means for funding unexpected expenses. The family is requesting help to fund his funeral expenses and also provide for his young son, Zander Stone Fannin. Any amount is welcomed and appreciated. Thank you.
Dustin's mother, Angela Hollon Doyle, set up an account in the name of Dustin Curtis Memorial Fund ( EIN 86-2789431).
All funds will go directly to that account for funeral expenses and/or funds for Dustin's son.
