Billy Dennard, age 46, passed away Sunday, October 14th.
Billy was a native Floridian, born and raised in Fort Myers, where he graduated from Cypress Lake High School. He was an avid fisherman and golfer, and loving father to his son Logan, age 16.
He is fondly remembered by his friends and co-workers at Gulf Coast Medical Center, where he worked as a clinician for many years. He was a fixture there, having come over when Southwest Regional transitioned to GCMC in 2009.
At times it seemed if Billy knew everyone in town, he has so many friends and acquaintances here. They knew him as a good buddy, a hard working Dad, and a Florida outdoorsman. Many of us profited from his skill as a fishing guide, and he was always ready to take someone out on the water.
Billy was unfortunate to have developed serious health issues towards the end of his life, but was actively working on getting better, which is why his unexpected passing came as such a shock to everyone who knew him well.
Billy worked for Perfusion.Com since 2006, and we feel that he would have been very appreciative of any help we could give his son Logan during this difficult time. Please consider making a donation toward Logan’s college fund, in loving memory of his Dad, Billy Dennard.
