Raising funds for William Castillo's Funeral

My name is Rene Castillo, let me tell you a little bit about my son William Castillo.

William was a kind, gentle soul who always wanted to make everyone laugh. He was very thoughtful of his friends and family, and made sure to make you laugh by the time it was time to say goodbye. William was also a dedicated student, he was pursuing a criminology degree in the University of Maryland Shady Grove, and his dream was to serve the community he grew up in with a career in law enforcement. William also enjoyed playing soccer, and meeting up with friends with a competitive game of racquetball. But to me, William was an amazing son and friend.He helped me with contracting jobs, and he never thought a job to big or small to help. And in my times of need, William was the greatest confidant.

William had many dreams, ambitions and plans for the future, but unfortunately, these dreams would not come to fruition. William died suddenly, at the age of 24 years old. Beneath the smiles and jokes, William was struggling with depression and stress. He did not mention this to me, or to his closest friends, but unfortunately William lost that battle on September 15, 2023.

This GoFundme is a plea for help from his friends and family. William was the world to me, and with his sudden passing, I am in need of financial assistance in preparing for Williams funeral and celebration of life. Mi nombre es René Castillo, déjame contarte un poco sobre mi hijo William Castillo.

William era un alma amable y gentil que siempre quería hacer reír a todos. Fue muy considerado con sus amigos y familiares, y se aseguró de hacerte reír cuando llegó el momento de decir adiós. William también era un estudiante dedicado, estaba cursando una carrera en criminología en la Universidad de Maryland Shady Grove y su sueño era servir a la comunidad en la que creció con una carrera en el ámbito policial. A William también le gustaba jugar fútbol y reunirse con amigos para jugar un partido competitivo de ráquetbol. Pero para mí, William fue un hijo y un amigo increíble. Me ayudó con la contratación de trabajos y nunca pensó que un trabajo fuera demasiado grande o pequeño para ayudar. Y en mis momentos de necesidad, William fue el mayor confidente.

William tenía muchos sueños, ambiciones y planes para el futuro, pero desafortunadamente, estos sueños no se hicieron realidad. William murió repentinamente, a la edad de 24 años. Debajo de las sonrisas y las bromas, William luchaba contra la depresión y el estrés. No me mencionó esto a mí ni a sus amigos más cercanos, pero desafortunadamente William perdió esa batalla el 15 de septiembre de 2023.
