William B.J. Caldwell Jr “Big Will”

Hi, my name is Jackie I'm fundraising for daughter in law’s brother. All proceeds go directly to his parents to help them give their son the proper farewell. Please read his story below:

Hello, this is William Caldwell most know him by BJ or Big Will. On November 15, 2022 at 4:30 am it was a rainy morning BJ was on his way home from working the night shift at a plant on the River. He was traveling highway 90 and about 1 mile before the Raceland overpass BJ was in an automobile accident. The accident made the other vehicle slide in the median and His car was disabled in the right lane of the highway. Bj exited his car and was standing on the shoulder of the highway attempting to call for help when a man driving a box truck negligently swerved off the right lane onto the shoulder to avoid hitting the car and he hit BJ instead! BJ had been fighting for his life for a month at University Hospital and ultimately there was nothing that the drs could no longer do and he was suffering! They deemed him to be paralyzed from neck down, brain damage and his organs started shutting down 1 by 1!

He earned his wings today December 16, 2022 after a hard long fight !

BJ was an amazing Son, Brother, Paran, Uncle, Nephew, Grandson, Cousin, Friend! To know him was to love him, he had a heart of gold!! He will be deeply missed by everyone that knew him!! The family is preparing to give BJ a proper service he deserves, if you can donate to help them out that would be amazing!!
