I haven’t said or posted much about Dad because things still don’t seem real. My Dad is a mountain of a man and one of the most stubborn, hardheaded sons of bitch you’d ever be blessed to know. He was set in his ways and no one could tell him nothin, those who knew him loved him and his junkyard dog life, not many understood it but it didn’t matter to him, my Dad did what made him happy up until this very minute, and he’s leaving this world exactly how I promised him he would. I’m so grateful to have been by his side during these last days regardless of how hard some things have been to watch. I always tell people that the end of life can be as beautiful as the beginning. My Dad was there when I took my first breath, he made sure I was safe and felt love and for him I get to do the same while he takes his last. I cannot even begin to express how scary this world feels knowing that when I leave this place he won’t be with me, but knowing how strong in faith he is, brings me a sense of peace, he often talked about how he couldn’t wait to get to Heaven and see how beautiful it is, and I know he’s patiently waiting at the gates………Even in death Dad put others before himself and will give life, I truly can’t think of a more beautiful end to such a shit situation. I love you Dad, I’ll see you again ❤️
