William "Bear" Reed

Hello fam, I'm Mike Calhoun and Bear was Beth's and my brother in every way but blood. We're asking you to help Bear's (and our) family who survived him with the final expenses and to help put him to rest. Everyone who knew him loved him for both fun-loving nature and his protective side. It seems cliché', but if you are reading this, you know it's true. They say when you write the tributes and memorials to your loved ones that you should make them "larger than life". I had to chuckle when I read that...because how could Bear be ANYTHING else? Timing is never right for such a heartbreaking event, but the timing here couldn't have been much worse. Chris, and Jess & Val could really use our help to ease this tough transition. Bear loved Chris and his daughters Jessica and Shirley Ann madly, and even at the end, all Bear thought about was nobody else feeling the pain. He even instructed me to eulogize him with happy stories in a "celebration, not a funeral", and helped others through organ donation. Please consider donating whatever you can afford to help get them through this extremely difficult time. There will be a celebration of his life: time and place TBA.
