William Bartko Memorial Celebration Fundraiser

Donation protected
From the family:
In lieu of flowers, those that feel the desire to give can do so here. Please do not give sacrificially or in any way that would be a burden for you. The monies will be used for medical expenses that still need to be paid off along with other expenses incurred while celebrating Bill’s life and laying him to rest. We all know that he would have loved to leave no debts behind if he had the opportunity.

In the unlikely situation more is given than is needed the remaining funds will be used at Nancy's discretion, We know he would have given her the world with a bow had it been his to give.

Thank you so much to all who are wanting to celebrate the life of our husband, father, and friend. We will host a memorial celebration at 11am on June 4th at Hope Christian Fellowship, 13320 State Route 7, Lisbon, Ohio 44432, which will be open to all who love us. A repast picnic will follow at the family home.

Please RSVP, if you can attend the service and or the repast picnic. Please also share any memories you want about Bill, at the same link below. Pictures of him can be sent to [email redacted], thank you again.

Written by his wife Nancy (Thompson) Bartko

William Bartko, age 67: my boyfriend, my knight, my husband, my lover, left his mortal body January 15, 2022 to go to his eternal home. We met when I was 15 and married at 20. I felt cared for, loved and cherished. Most did not see the man he was. He was a Bible scholar; he read and studied every day. He quietly fought his struggles. He was a quiet man until you were ready for him: wisdom, zinger, or the weather. Family or close friends, watch your food (he will steal it off your plate and laugh). He loved babies. His greatest treasures, his own Sarah, Matthew (Emily), Rebekah and Jessica, and let’s not get him started on the grandchildren, Joe, Jared, and Brenna. He was a good Dad and Grandfather. He loved family: his nieces, and nephews, brothers and sisters (he had no In-laws, just more family). He loved my Mom and Dad. He loved his church family. He loved those men who took time to know him. Thank you, brothers. He loved to fish from shore, in waders, or from a boat. He loved playing chess and investing in people while playing. Thank you all for playing.

Don't get me wrong, we had struggles and hardship, but we held hands and asked God to help, and in the end praised God for His gracious path through. He would be the first to tell you God was not finished with him yet and I would tell you he was not all grown up yet.
